Parts Supervisor - Peterborough

We currently have a position for a Parts Supervisor to join our team at our Peterborough branch.

As a Parts Supervisor, you are an integral part of the aftersales team within the depot and are required to deputize for the manager when they are out of the business.

Ensure all systems are kept up to date at all times

Keep stores in a tidy and organized manner

Complete daily stock checks and report discrepancies

Positively impact on customer satisfaction when serving at trade counter

Provide information on Mercedes-Benz products and respond to queries about parts-related issues 

Ensuring all Mercedes-Benz UK and ICTV standards are met

Receive all parts deliveries and allocate to call centre and workshop orders, put stock away for collection or delivery

Deal with walk-in trade counter customers professionally, give advice on any requirements or prices and advising customer of any items which are not stocked or need ordering

Taking payment from trade counter, raise invoice on the system and add to cash banking file

To make up customer orders for despatch as required ensuring that they match customer order and that any shortages are highlighted, ensuring that all orders taken are fully completed, invoiced and despatched as scheduled and that the customer is kept fully informed of progress or of any problems

Check parts availability and backorders on ICTV Site Stock, Group Stock and MBUK/Germany

Locate unavailable items from other suppliers and arrange for delivery or pass order to stock control for Vehicle Off Road (V.O.R.) orders to be raised

Where parts are on back order, update EWIP with escalation numbers and dealer checks

Ownership of EWIP and Escalations and associated communication

Ensure all stock control records completed to audit standard and all systems are updated in a timely manner

Liaise with Central teams in a polite and professional manner to resolve any issues

Ensure that all customer complaints are referred to the call centre and follow up to ensure they are dealt with both speedily and effectively, referring any unresolved problems to the call centre manager

Ensure that within their area of operation all Company and Trade Associations policies, procedures and minimum standards are met and that all statutory requirements including trading standards, fire, health and safety are adhered to

Deal all internal and external customers and suppliers with courtesy and ensure the Mercedes-Benz experience is delivered to all contacts at all times

Basic technical knowledge and an understanding of service and parts or stock control

Experience working in automotive, picking, stock or parts environment

Proficient in Microsoft Office computer skills as well as general business knowledge

Preferred knowledge of commercial vehicles, ideally Mercedes-Benz

Preferred knowledge of service-relevant applications (Kerridge EWIP, DMS, XENTRY Products)
