Midlands Truck & Van is proud to announce that three of its workshop locations have been awarded Platinum status – the highest possible rating – under the newly launched Maintenance Provision Rating Scheme (MPRS).
Developed collaboratively by Logistics UK, the Road Haulage Association (RHA), the Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders (SMMT), and other key industry bodies, the MPRS sets a new benchmark for excellence in commercial vehicle maintenance. The initiative is backed by the Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency (DVSA), the Department for Transport, and the Office of the Traffic Commissioner.
The MPRS introduces a tiered system of standards—Entry, Bronze, Silver, Gold, and Platinum—designed to give operators greater visibility into workshop quality, helping to raise safety, reduce vehicle downtime, and improve overall compliance.
“This is a proud moment for everyone at Midlands Truck & Van,” said Michael Carolan, Aftersales Director. “We’re excited to be at the forefront of industry progress and to help raise the standard of commercial vehicle maintenance across the UK.”
Michael Carolan was pictured receiving recognition of this achievement at the 2025 Commercial Vehicle Show, where the new MPRS was formally introduced to the wider industry audience.
